Downtown Los Angeles earns "Re-inventor" award
Northeast Los Angeles enjoys the best of what a city can offer – urban hillside retreats with amazing views of hills and city lights, walkable streets to eateries and shopping, plus amazing and diverse architecture. The proximity of NELA neighborhoods to Downtown Los Angeles is another perk for those looking to get their "big city" fix, and is also where enormous revitalization efforts are taking place.
Dwell magazine has taken note of these changes, naming Downtown Los Angeles "America’s Most Successfully Reinvented Metropolis." In addition to a few rail projects and a big river revitalization project, Downtown has become… well, cool!
If you make your way there anytime soon, we recommend checking out the recently redone Grand Central Market (there’s even a beer garden!), the monthly Art Walk, Little Tokyo, and numerous old and new restaurants.
