Today’s Topic: Los Angeles Is Gearing Up to Ban Wood-Frame Construction
Darren and Joe discuss the a recent approved proposal based on fire safety for Los Angeles to ban wood construction. Is this a good move? Special interests are very supportive, while other groups point out this will severely increase construction costs with no clear fire safety benefit. This proposed ban on wood construction could also raise rents in the city.
