HOWL-oween at Hermon Dog Park

Sunday, October 26 from 3-5:00 pm

Break out those doggie costumes for Hermon Dog Park's annual HOWL-oween costume contest, the 8th Peanut Butter Lick-off and more family-friendly activities. Entry is $1 for Friends of Hermon Dog Park members, $5 for non-members. More info.


Creatures of the Night at Vista Hermosa

Thursday, October 30 at 5:30 pm

Learn about bats, owls and other nocturnal creatures from the National Park Service. All ages are welcome. Meet at the children's play area and bring a flashlight! More info.


Trick or Treat on the BOOlevard

Thursday, October 30 from 4:30-6:00 pm

For this annual event, families dress up in costumes (some of the best in the area) and visit Atwater Village businesses along Glendale Boulevard. Live music, specials, free candy and more! More info.


Elysian Heights Elementary Harvest Festival + Fundraiser

Friday, October 31 from 1:15-4:00 pm

Haunted house, face painting, treats, games, crafts and, of course, pumpkins! Costume parade from 1:15-2:15 pm, festival until 4pm. Free admission.

Lots of great places to trick-or-treat around Northeast Los Angeles communities! One of the most popular neighborhoods is also one of the oldest - Angelino Heights. The Victorian architecture plus the neighborhood's dedication to the holiday makes it a spooky time for the family! Start at Carroll Avenue and Douglas St and circle around the neighborhood!

Day of the Dead Family Festival in Atwater Village

Saturday, November 1 from noon - 5:00 pm

Food, music, dancing, altar memorials, skull candy painting, costumes and more family fun taking place at Atwater Avenue Elementary School in Atwater Village. Adults are $10, children are $5. More info.
