A loophole known as the builder’s remedy has threatened development control for 124 cities across Southern California. These cities did not complete the state-mandated housing plan requirements and missed their deadlines. Developers who created 20% affordable housing for each of their developments are now filling the housing void with this little-used legal loophole named the builder’s remedy. Darren and Joe discuss how developers, cities and slow-growth groups are clashing and gearing up for legal battles.
